Transcription: An engineering drawing is a formal, legally binding graphic description of an engineering component. Sketches and unreleased drawings may also become legal documents. By law, it is the receiver, not the originator, who sets the interpretation of the drawing. Parts made to specifications must be purchased if under contract. However, parts may be refused for not meeting any one specification.
